Accounting is the language of business; it is the medium through which business organizations communicate information about their financial performance and financial position to the outside world. Financial accounting involves identifying and recording business transactions and summarizing them in rupee terms. The financial information is presented in three basic financial statements—the balance sheet, the profit and loss statement and the cash flow statement. These statements are used to communicate the financial status of the organization to various stakeholders of the business to enable them to take economic decisions.
